Hard to say without knowing who dumped who, and why...... e.g. if you dumped him so you could go out with someone else.... and the being on talking terms while working together perhaps he just put on because it wouldn't look good in front of everyone else there if you were fighting / ignoring each other.

He has moved on and doesn't want to continue any sort of relationship with you. It hurts, I know, but try to do the same things. It funny, one person can be sooo extremely important to us today, yet in a few months, we have moved on the other people.
