Do you think two 14-year-olds can truly be in love?Like is it just a fake-ish kind of love or can it like be actual love?My boyfriend keeps telling me he loves me, and I can't say it back because I don't think you can be in love at this young of an age. What do you think?

I believe it to be true because it happened to me. But just because you love someone doesn't mean you are ready for anything serious. You still have a lot of growing up to do and so does he. And maybe you can't say it because you don't feel the same. Be honest with yourself and him. It will make it easier in the end. No one deserves to be lied to. You have plenty of time to decide what you really want. Do yourself a favor and take it.

I think it's quite mature of you to even ask the question! Although, I do believe it's possible for two young people to love each other, you're right! Any love you feel now, will be quite different than the love you will feel at age, say 25. The difference will be much more social experience, life experience and from dating, you'll know a lot more about men and what a real relationship is than you do now. Also, you'll know a lot more about yourself. Okay, one more thing, the love a man feels is different than the love women feel. You need to know that. At age 14, boys don't really feel true love, they feel infatuation or crushes.

Bottom line, you are doing good to not return those words because when you do, you are likely to create a monster you really don't want to have to deal with at 14. Finish school, have fun, date when your parents let you and learn about life.

Yes you can love at a young age.I was in love at the age of 13 with a 15 year old.I dont think age matters.I got married to him at 17 and we have a son together. We divorced when I was 21 years old.Even tough we are not together we still love each other.I'm 28 now and we remember each others birthday, favorite foods
and we still dream about each other. He is remarried and I am in a relationship.Love can come at any age even in the sandbox.Real love last a lifetime. If you cant say you love this guy you're with then you dont love him. Out of the abundance of your heart your mouth does speak.

I highly doubt you can truly be in love at the age of 14!

I don't think it's love-love. It could be a form of love, over all love is not instant or quick to get, if your still together by 18 and your still feeling the same way then it might be love.

If your 14 and your asking about love, then that should tell you that your not in love. Then you need to open a text book and study rather worry about which boy your in love with this week. because in two weeks your going to have a new tablet with another "BOYS" name written all over it.

i was 14 when i fell in love. ok, i turned 15 3 months later, but i was in love. but, over that time my love has evolved into something stronger and more real. i'm 16 now, and my bf and i still very much in love with one another. your body can sometimes only give you a sensation of loving someone. in my opinion, you should wait to say i love you until you are absolutely sure b/c then it is all the sweeter.

Romeo and Juliet were like 15. You can only judge by your past experiences. You can be in love now, but when you're 25 you'll look back and think it was silly.

You should read or see the wonderful play ROMEO AND JULIET by William Shakespeare. Very young people might indeed be in love and feel very strongly at that.
