I just bought a fish but i dont know what kind of fish it is. I know it is a tropical fish. it is silver/gray. It is kinda long (2-3 in) and it if flat. and also, its tail is always moving back and fourth like a snake. If you could identify it for me it would be relly appretiated. Thanks! =)

Sounds like a knife fish, maybe? Is it thinner towards its tail with a fin that goes all along it's body on the bottom that sort of waves to propel it around?

Where does it tend to swim, on the bottom or higher up?

Is there any sort of pattern on it or is it just silver/gray?

YoYo Loaches (http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/Fishindx/pakloach.htm) resemble what you describe. It might also be a really washed out danio, or some kind of minnow. Hard to tell without a picture.

Could you perhaps give a little more of a description?

It could be an alergy eater. You may want to go to your local pet store a look for other fish like him / her. Good luck and God bless you!
