I know that Eddie Murphy was the first to do it - but I thought I remembered Tracy Morgan doing a recreation of the sketch on SNL in the later years. Did anyone see this, or am I just a racist jerk who can't tell the difference between Eddie Murphy and Tracy Morgan?

I've only ever seen Eddie Murphy do Buckwheat but I seem to remember Tracy Morgan doing a character that looked similar. I can't remember what the sketch was about though... Here's the link to amazon's listing of his best of: http://www.amazon.com/Saturday-Night-Live-Tracy-Morgan/dp/B0002I84EY

Maybe some of the reviewer's descriptions of the disc will help you remember! Good Luck, I know it drives me crazy when I can't remember something like that too.

I don't think you are a racist jerk. I don't remember Tracy Morgan ever doing Buckwheat and I've been watching the show since '82.
