It depends on the animal. If you have a pit bull terrier then Jonathon or Felicity would be cute depending on its sex. A stick insect named 'Bubbles' might be cute or a python named 'Fluffy' might work if your friends understood irony. I'm thinking 'Stalin' for a puss cat ot maybe 'Betty' for an aligator. It's no good, you have to be more specific about the animal.
