nearly every single year i wake up the day after thanksgiving hearing a christmas song i get very depressed at holidays especially christmas so when i hear it i jolt up thinking ooww crap its started i wish they would wait til say 2 weeks before christmas to play the music but it has become very commercial and the radio stations get paid to advertise for the stores christmas songs are supposed to put people in the mood to shop i wish we could just close all the stores down from thanksgiving til new year and celebrate the real way did anyone see the three wise men using u-haul to carry their gifts NO just ONE gift on ONE day not several and the people in the inn didnt get any gifts so why do we feel the have to get for everyone we know if i dont get you a gift dont hate me or ignore me its because i cant afford it anymore and i am severly depressed about it

Where I live, they start the day after Thanksgiving. One station plays only Christmas music 24/7 and stops on Dec. 26.
I look forward to it and to listening to Delilah and the people who call in at Christmas.

Good question. I don't have an answer, but I can tell you that yesterday (Friday, October 13) I saw my first television advertisement that had a Christmas theme. It was from a major company, one that makes those things you plug into an electrical wall socket to make the room smell better. I was shocked. We haven't even had Halloween yet.
