that God loves gay people too, when someone telsl you the fact that gay people won't make it to heaven? We don't mean that God hates gay people. We mean that God is just in his judgement, he says it's an abomination.
Leviticus 20: 13- If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Now don't be mad at me, the bible says it plain and simple CLEAR.

bethy75_9: I love everyone, but I just hate when gay people say God doesn't say anything abt homosexual. I'm not trying to make anyone mad, but I just like to tell the truth to people who want to hear it. That's my job anyway on earth. You hate them not me coz if you see ur friend is going in the wrong direction you'll let him/her go coz u don't want to hurt him/her.

Leviticus, like all other parts of the bible were written by MEN!, not by God

Boy, you christians will go to any length to feel superior, wont you!

Re your Additional Details:
Quoting Gulliver's Travels isn't telling the truth.
Quoting the Bible isn't either
Both were works of men, not based on research, but on fable and opinion and political agenda.

The bible is a fairy tale written by men, to men, for men. It is not the word of God. Say what you will, but people cannot get a simple game of telephone correct, what makes you think the bible has been passed down word for word throughout all these years? I don't think so. The bible is filled with contradictions. People always want to pull out the Leviticus verse about homosexuality. The word homosexuality didn't even enter our language until after the 20th century, so it's an addition. Not to mention Leviticus also states eating shellfish and pork are an abomination, but nobody ever seems to remember that fact. Oh, wait, they do, but they always counter it with " When Jesus died, that changed" or, my personal favorite, "That was only because back then it was a health hazard, and now with technology it's not."
Right, because my being gay is going to make you ill-other than your own nausea, I'm sure.

I am a mormon, and I do believe in the bible. However, when Jesus was asked what the most important commandment was, Jesus responded - to love one another.

I was also raped at the age of 13 - which is a hate crime - so I can't really have too much of a problem with something that's based in love. If you walk around all the time - waiting to have a problem with someone - you're gonna have a pretty miserable experience here on earth.

It is my personal belief that God is our Heavenly Father - and as such - he loves every one of his children - regardless; just as I love my children unconditionally. I also know that it is not my job to discipline my brethren - only to love them as I am loved.

I hope that didn't come as condecending. I only mean that, just as with my close family, I will never turn my back on anyone without just cause (violence or abuse towards another).

Amazing!! So some of you who responded believe that Jesus died on the cross so YOU could do whatever YOU WANT to DO. And STILL get into heaven. Like I said... Amazing. You know something? The more gay people I get to know. The more gay people I hear from. The LESS I'm willing to tell anyone that I'm gay. Craig

Is that clear? Oh, when I read it, it sounded like rubbish. I am not gay. I am a believer in God. I just don't follow the bible. The bible has been passed on from generation to generation and changed by people, so that it would say what they wanted it to say, to get their citizens to follow the bible and indirectly follow them. Take a look at the King James version. Why do you think they call it the King James version. He had it changed so that he could get his people to follow him. The bible is man made. Plain and simple. People say that God loves gay people too, because it also says in the bible that God created all people. meaning he created them too. If God wanted us all the same then why are we all so different?

Actually, the scripture to which you refer is talking about child molestation - which as everyone knows, is most often committed by heterosexuals with feelings of inferiority. And, as most Bible scholars like to point out, the Old Testament is a series of prohibitions for the Jews - not Gentiles. And neither GOD nor Jesus are ever quoted as saying homosexuality is an "abomination".

So, the whole thing about jesus coming back and that cancelling out the laws of the old testament stuff was all a LIE, or are you sitting there in fabric made of two materials passing judgement on others?
Whatever. You go believe whatever it is that you want to back up your bigotry. Don't be suprised when we laugh at you though...and there is another phraze you should prepare yourself to hear as well Pharisee...I Never Knew You.

It's their way of believing in God and not leaving their comfortable zone. Instead of conforming to Christ they twist the word to suit their purpose and needs. And it does say it's an abomination, but it also says to love the sinner and hate the sin! We can't show God's true love by making people mad!

The bible says alot of contradicting things and do you uphold to them? You have been brainwash by your bible. Learn to think outside of the box. There's too many of us telling you the same thing. We know what the bible says, this gay thing is causing people to hate and they are surely going to hell for judging gods people breaking the first of ten commandments.

Lev 20:13 is part of the Holiness Code. The Holiness Code was DONE AWAY WITH. It is no longer binding on modern day Christians. No... longer... binding.... NOT APPLICABLE. This isn't just according to me. There is consensus among even the most conservative of sects and denominations. The only people who still think of it as relevant are groups like http://www.godhatesfags.com

If you are truly a Christian you would already know that Levitical/Mosaic Law DOES NOT APPLY TO Christians!

Jesus died for our sins, that means EVERYONE! He came to Fulfil the OT and we, as Christians have a NEW CONVENTANT ie the NEW TESTIMENT.

No longer are we bound to Mosaic laws which restrict sexual practices, eating habit or clothing habits.

It's also known by most Biblical Scholars that Paul has a serious issue with women as well as anything he saw as "different."

Jesus made it very clear that Mary was his chosen sucessor, not Paul, but Paul forced his views and basically made sure Mary's influence was ignored!
Nowhere in the Bible does it say ANYTHING about committed, loving relationships between gays/lesbians!

Nowhere in the original texts of the bible is there any word that is even remotely the same as what we know as "Homosexual" or "homosexuality." NOT ONE!
The story of Sodom and Gommorah have been badly mistranslated and misinterpreted from the actual lesson of the fates of these sister cities. The TRUE SIN OF SODOM WAS INHOSPITABILITY AND INTOLERANCE!

No sin is of any greater value than any other, no person is ever excluded from accepting the Word!

ALL HUMAN BEINGS ARE SINNERS...it's what we do with what we have been given as humans that we are judged on.

If we reject the BRAINS God gave us, are we not sinning as well?
If we reject the ONLY Commandment Jesus gave us as Christians (LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF), are we not going against God's wishes?

There is NO SIN IN LOVE
There is NO SIN IN BEING TOLERANT
There is NO SIN IN ACCEPTANCE
