You cannot ovulate while you are on your period. Your period is there to flush out the un fertilized egg and the lining that was there just incase it was fertilized. While your body is flushing things out it will not drop another egg. For people who have gotten pregnant on or around their period it's just what it seems to be. If you ovulate right after your period you can get pregnant and people seem to think that it happened while they were on their period. Sperm can stay alive for up to 7 days. So if you had sex on the last day of your period and then ovulate 7 days later which is 2 weeks from the start of your period you can get pregnant. Just a little science lesson for people.
Most people ovulate 2 weeks from the day they start their period. but it does vary. I can always tell when I am ovulating, probably why I've got 2 kids and one on the way no problem. My doctor always said that when you ovulate youwill be extra turned on and be extra horny and I've found that to be pretty true. hope this helps.

some women notice a stringy white stretchy discharge around the time of ovulation but not all women notice that. i have always had a whitish discharge no matter what time of the month it is and its never changed when i was ovulating. so it could be either. as far as can you ovulate on your period, its rare but it does happen in some women. i have a nurse friend who only ovulates on her period.

iam 6 1/2 months pregnant with a period baby. I just happened to be ovulating on the last couple light days of my period, and we had sex.
Orgasim discharge happens during sex, ovulation causes cervical mucus to thin, so its like egg white, and that discharge usually happens through out the day.

Are you taking any varieties of beginning administration? i understand that NuvaRing can each and every now and then make your discharge somewhat greater thick or cloudy. White discharge that resembles cottage cheese could be an illustration of a yeast an infection. once you're itchy "down there" too, then that's yet another symptom. once you're apprehensive, it by no ability hurts to invite your wide-unfold practitioner!

I was in the same situation as the first poster, that is how I got pregnant. As far as discharge.... orgasm discharge happens during and around an orgasm, while ovaultion discharge sticks around for awhile. Dunno much about color and consistency, never paid much attention.
