It's the same as other cultures. We glorify Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, MLK, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, Farrakhan, Mary McCleod Bethune etc. but we also love music just the same as other cultures although I wouldn't say it's GLORIFICATION. How about whites glorifying Cobain and other crack users? What's the difference?? Stop stereotyping blacks, all races do exactly the same thing!

Martin Luther King was a race-hustler just like Jesse Jackson. He was built into an icon after the fact, but he was, in life, an adulterer, drug-user, and fraud.

There is one prominent black leader, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, who is actually a very wise and noble leader. Unfortunately, his views are seldom heard because they do not coincide with the victim, "gimme" mentality that most blacks find attractive.

Rebels against the government? Since most (not all, but most) just can't get the f**k over the past, get their act together, and get a real job and care for themselves, and ask the government to pay for them since they were slaves for years and such?

Sad, really.
