I don't even know what i33t is... my sister has started using this stuff and she's 36 !!! I don't get it, It took me ages to figure out <3 or something like that was her way of saying love or something.. whatever.. it just down right confuses me !!

I do, if it's in an answer to a question here on YA. I don't understand a lot of l33t, and can't really see the point of it. If you bother to take the time to read someone's question and think of an answer, why would you then write an answer that is incomprehnsible to other people? The whole point of YA is to be able to share information and opinions, so why use a means of communication that few people understand? If I am on IM with someone I know, I do tend to use chatspeak, because it's simpler and faster, so I can't really say anything about that.

i don't even know what l33t is! I like regular English and would prefer that other people use it because chatspeak is VERY confusing!
The most chatspeak I use is to turn "you" to "u"... I don't even turn "to" into 2...
