All the ones I have seen wear very fine denier ones, neutral colour and expensive looking, compared to the person's skin tone perhaps rather dark than otherwise.
Interestingly, they all wear skirts all of the time. I have not seen one in trousers or even a long skirt, it is all knee length straight skirts. This is noticeable because just about all the support staff females wear trousers most of the time.
As I'm not English I'm not clear whether by tights you mean pantyhose or the thick ones only, very few people in my country wear stockings and suspenders any more and then only when they have sex on their mind.

You must be from the UK, because here in the USA they call them pantyhose, and nearly all female lawyers do, except perhaps in California, because it is part of being properly dressed.
Personally I detest tights, and always wear stockings and a garter belt (suspender belt to you) . I like my stockings ultra sheer and usually wear 100% nylon 10 or15 denier, RHT style from France of England. They have a nicer finish, and give me a feeling of control when I Court. They look exquisite with my business suits, and when worn conservatively give a very striking but sophisticated look without being too sexy.

It depends if she is "That type" ..as a Court Bailiff iv seen many Lawyers , Some are very "Sexy" ( in my view ) ..some a right Dogs ....again , I'm my view...From what i have seen , Young powerful women seam to wear stockings , and look more feminine.... but that is not a "Stereo type" ... women are women ..all are great to put up with us Blokes ..! undressing them at every chance , But then again , some like that..... !!!..nuff said.

As all Judges are old geezers, always letching, I imagine the stockings, showing that warm sexy part of the thigh, heaven so close, wins the case every time.

I certainly have a girl chum who's a lawyer, and prefer me, she prefers stockings to pantyhose. in accordance to her she continuously wears her ultimate sheer black stockings in the time of trial, because of the fact she swears they provide her extra self assurance, and help her to maintain her "area"
