Where do you get that information? It isn't true.

I assume this isn't true but will respond as if it were.

This hails back to the "Hunter Tylo" incident with Melrose Place. Tylo was hired to be a sexy siren on the show and shortly after was fired when she became pregnant. She sued Aaron Spelling's company and won a multi-million dollar verdict from some idiot jurors who aren't able to differentiate regular employment from television.

It was a very bad verdict because in television, you ARE able to discriminate on physical appearance for a role. That is why they didn't give Rosanne Barr the role. This is why actors and actresses command ridiculous sums of $$$ that are unthinkable to regular people.

In your case, Marcia Cross does not play a role as a sexy siren. Her character's appeal is more in its neurosis and she has rarely, if ever, been used in a sexually exploitative way on the show. Her pregnancy could easily be worked around or integrated into the show. In her case, it would make no sense for her to be fired on this basis and she would have, in my humble opinion, a legitimate suit.

However, if it were Gabriel, who DOES play a sexy siren and is critical to the show, it would be reasonable to fire her and replace her with another actress.

This is more or less my opinion of how it SHOULD work. Obviously, based on Hunter Tylo, how it'll actually work in real life is completely random and depends on how brain damaged a jury involved in the case truly is. Personally, I think some truly ugly people should sue for not getting a sexy part on the basis of discrimination and let these issues get defined more intelligently.

Yes, she's expecting twins in about three months and has been placed on bed rest.

Didn't hear that. I heard they were going to hide her tummy behind thinks like muffins and counters or show her sitting down a lot. They would not fire her.
