i have all these tv shows on itunes and i want to burn them onto a cd but in order to do that, i need to either buy a dvd burner. do you know of any good.. would have to be external.

also, would anybody know how to put them onto a cd burner. lol. i'm not very good at this kind of stuff.

You can burn this stuff on your cd burner. Just use a cd. Advd will give you more room for recording but it will go on a cd.Like you said your other choice would be to get external dvd burner at wal mart

I think you can buy any kind of external dvd burner, as long as it's efficient and usable. Usually they come with burner software. You just need to open up the software that you installed and then follow the instructions to copy the shows onto the dvd disc.

itunes will burn to CD or DVD. Other than extra capacity DVD provides no benefit over CD since the source material is low resolution.

if it's an external DVD/CD drive you're after, make sure it's a FireWire drive, because USB simply isn't fast enough for a disc drive! HP is fairly good at external drives (I personally own an HP external drive, and I truly have never had any problem with it.)

do not use WMM, rather use Nero because the WMM makes DVD in difficulty-free words readable below computer. be particular now to not use uncommon formats and not in any respect to overburn your DVD at the same time as burning your DVD. This 2 issues makes a DVD ineffective now and again.
