What did you think of the new Superman movie?

I thought it was terrible. The new Superman was lifeless, everyone was miscast, the story was boring...the only good part of it was Kevin Spacey, who has done much better.

First of all, I'm a fan of these kinds of movies, but Superman was just stupid. There was really no point to the film. The acting was not very good. The characters made no sense, like why Lex Luthor would keep some dumb blonde around all the time to explain the plot points to? And if Lois Lane was so in love with SUperman, why would she hook up with that other dude soon enough so that the other dude thought he was the father of Lois' baby? The dialogue was bad: "You shouldn't smoke, Miss Lane." And the way they dealt with the common complaint that it should be obvious to everyone that Clark Kent is SUperman is by saying, essentially, "It's so obvious that it's just not possible!" I mean, the best part of the movie was easily when Superman stopped that plane from crashing, and the rest was crap. The ending was utter crap. The whole point was that Superman is up against a huge island of kryptonite. HOw can he possibly get rid of it? Well, it turns out that the answer is that he just kind of decides to. It was a bad, bad movie and the only reason anybody would enjoy it is that they already decided to enjoy it before they saw it.
