18 and yes.... i was nervous - afraid of a lot of things that most gals would be afriad of with a doctor sticking around "there". do't worry though.... i think we all are/were and every doctor is used to that. if you're sexually active before you turn 18 - please start going - it's the best thing to keep an eye on your health!

I was 19 and i was scared to death, Even though i wasn't a virgin it just felt wired laying there with my legs up in the air facing the door for anyone to walk in lol (I wonder y the table is always facing the door) I have had 3 since then i still get all nervous and my doctor has to tell me to open my legs lol so don't feel bad I think all women get like that when its time for a pap.

I did hate going for the pap smear and still do. It does get better the more times that you have it done.

A teenager. Yes, it's embarrassing because we're put in a vulnerable situation. It's a lot easier if the doctor doing it is female. If it would make it better for you, have someone go into the examining room with you and stand or sit near your head. If it's a male doctor, a female nurse will be in the room. If not, make sure one is.

I was 19. It wasn't embarrasing, but it was a little awkward at first.

I was 20. It was a little embarassing but I went to a female doctor and she was really nice about trying not to embarass me

i was just turning 16, it was very scary at first, but they are doctors and they look at vaginas all day.. just relax and remember to ask questions because no question is a stupid one.. and the more you do the easier they will be

I was 14 and yes it was embarassing for me because I was on my period. Other than that it wasnt horribly bad.
