I prefer that it be called a Civil Union. As to whether or not I approve of these unions, I am comfortable with this type of relationship today, but have to admit that once upon a time I was not.

this is totally of the topic but I will answer the question. My problem with civil union or same sex marriage is that it's not legal but every job I had or my boyfriend has had allowed the partner of a same sex relationship reap the benefits such as health insurance I'm not being hateful I want everyone to be able to have it but this is discrimination, this is suppose to be designated for married couples. My boyfriend cannot include me into his family health insurance through his job so why can same sex partner. We have children together and been with each other for more than 9 years. I don't think this is not right. As for same sex marriage or civil union I don't favor it but I don't hate anyone for their decisions or feelings.

In this day and age, if two people find each other in the sea of deception known as dating, and they are in love and the same sex, who is anyone to say they cannot commit for the rest of their lives? I think they should be able to marry, why not, the rest of society does and look at the divorce rate. That would be a great study because I bet these couples would take their vows seriously.

I think you should be able to marry who ever you love. and to the person that said your okay with them geting married but not okay with having kids . then you just toke back what you said . because them being able to get married means also means to be a family and you show me a family that doesn't have a kid in it . You should be able to who you and marry who want and be able to make that a famly. Most are only looking at it that is a man and a man or a woman and a woman but what they don't stop and think about is love is love and you love who you love because that is how you feel not because someone made you that way .and their are way to many kid that need home for us to look down on anyone for wanting to give them. So for all you same- sex lover more power to you. I hope one day you will be able to not be juge anymore!!!!!!!

No. My answer is based on religious beliefs and values. I also believe that giving homosexual unions the same legal status as marriage is gravely detrimental to our society.

Although I would never discriminate or be unkind to person's of same-sex marriages/relationships, I do believe it is wrong.
But, it is their own choice to live that way.
If it was to be changed by law or something, to have same-sex marriage legal, I would be opposed to it.

Personally, no, I do not agree with it. I am a Christian, and the basis for my faith, Christ and the Bible, warns against it. So no, I don't really agree with it, and I don't necessarily understand it. But I have nothing against those people. I love and respect them just the same.

I think it's nobody's business but the two people involved. If people want to get married, then let them.
