Honey, just go! And don't go with a down attitude. Go knowing that you are going to have a great time. While you're getting ready turn up your favorite music & just get yourself all pumped up to have a great time!

GO!!!! I am the Mother of 3 kids, each of my kids has been to a couple of homecomings, and they all said that the best time at a home coming they ever had, was when they went alone!!!! You will be surprised how many people are going as "friends" and will be free to dance with you, and of course, without a date, you are also free to dance with anyone!!! Have yourself a great time, you are young, enjoy it. Once your out of school, and there are no more dances to go to, you will wish you had gone.

Sweetheart, you are a beautiful, confident young woman who doesn't need a "date" to complete you. My daughter has been to high school dances both with, and without a date and she always comes back telling me that she had way more fun going without one. I echo the comments of all of the other answers and encourage you to crank up that music, make yourself beautiful, and go and have a great time! Be safe, and always be aware of your surroundings. Have fun.

Go call up the dorkiest kid you know, who's nice and got good bone structure. Clean him up REEEEEAAALLL good, and take him to homecoming.
No braces, hard to hide.
Dress him nice. YOU dress him, don't let his mom do it.

If time is a crunch, go to the Salvation Army or Goodwill, and get yourselves a couple of nice cheap, vintage clothes.

Go have a blast, and brighten up HIS day too.

Who says a beautiful independent woman has to be accompanied by some self-centered, annoying jerk who looks at the cheerleaders more than you. Go alone, enjoy yourself, and this way you're free to flirt with whom ever you desire. HAVE FUN & BE SAFE!

call a group of your friends whether its guys or girls and ask to tag along, If you dont do that, then, But no its not wrong to go by yourself, Heres a thought ask your older cousin, if he good looking, trick your friends, or ask your father, One good thing, your father will always be with you no matter what, and he will never break up with you, If the other kids tease you about it, Then they are not very mature for you to be with them

Go, you shouldn't care if every one else has a date just say you wanted to go by your self.
