And I don't mean a party website, an obviously biased author or speaker, or a friend or co-worker that doesn't know any more than you do. When a statement is made, do you look for the truth or do you simply move to CNN or FOX and say what they say? Who can honestly say they have done their homework and have a true right to vote on issues and aren't lead by the nose by ANY political party?

I have done a disservice to myself and the United States for not doing some basic homework on candidate research. I do not have the time to keep up with the inter workings of politics, nor do I have the time to find the reliable sources for information. Like most Americas, I live for soundbites. Unfortunately, that bites me in the butt for not going beyond surface. Ultimately, it does not mater. From the studying that I have done, there are very, very few politicians who would actually support a significant majority of my views. The two party system is broken in the sense that not one party (Rep/Dem/Ind/Lib/Green/?) that stands out as a party that I could say, "They DO feel my pain!"

definitely anybody must be charged with accountability for their very own ideas and movements. it quite is a tragic actuality that some human beings could be genuinely led, yet that would not positioned Hollywood, or every person else for that remember at fault for those human beings's loss of interpretive skill. i'm a conservative and that i do no longer basically like the positions favored via many interior the Hollywood left, yet my answer is that this. whilst i detect a celebrity i do no longer accept as true with, I won't purchase their product. this suggests I won't purchase their video clips, information, watch them on television, and so on. i think of their superb to unfastened speech and expression, yet i do no longer ought to assist their careers, or in some way help supply them a talk board wherein to present day those perspectives. My concept is that entertainers are right here to entertain, if i want political remark i visit computer screen a instruct which constructive components experts interior the political section, no longer George Clooney, Michael Moore, Danny Glover, or Susan Saradon and their stupid musings. in short you're superb, basically the guy preserving the opinion must be held in charge. It would not quite matter huge type how they got here via the certainty.

Is any writing unbiased at all.
I have to agree its a pity that CNN and Fox are followed by the majority. After all, they are ultimately run by either corporations or govt which inherently produces bias towards the credit of the runners.
However, one who reads only the independent media can be accused similarly.
What we need is to read from a BROAD range anf THEN form our own political opinion.
personally most of my views are left wing, but i cant agree 100% with them. for example, i hold a more right wing view on the topic of nuclear energy.
dont get lead fully by any party. we are given brains, and we should make full use of that!

That is why God invented the Internet search engine. In my opinion the FOX News Network is not a very good source for anything but extreme right wing conservative rhetoric. The other networks are influenced by their advertisers. Search for the facts on what the politicians are saying. Some of the governments own web sites contradict what the politicians say. It is amazing how they can twist the real truth to suit their needs, by cherry picking data on everything from the war in Iraq to the economy.

Yes I like to browse the majority of news networks websites to see what news is covered, not covered, suppressed.

IMAO I've come to the conclusion that 99.999% of current politicians are not to be trusted and the only time they stop lying is when they shut there mouths.

I'm ready to be proven wrong though.

We'd probably be better off turning the whole thing over to a self-aware machine or failing that the manatees that made the episodes for Family Guy.

I'm sure most people believe they have researched to form their own political opinions. The problem is that most people filter their "research" based on their own previously formed opinion. Biases such as upbringing, religious convictions, and a lack of understanding of how deficits and taxes are related...distort available information when people form opinions. And, many people are scammed into believing what they believe. Of course, they don't know they are being scammed, otherwise it wouldn't be a SCAM. But there are millions of Americans who have been tricked into fervently believing that their side is "right" in spite of a host of obvious information that they aren't getting what they voted for, and are being lied to constantly.

Active research on the internet, looking at many sides of the same issues, then adding up the, ifs, ands, buts, pros and cons of a given subject. Take no one at face value or first comments. Find out their stands in the past, then find out why . Read , read and read some more.

I think most people research by seeking out other people or newspapers, etc with opinions that agree with their own. If you want to know if someone really looks into things, you have to talk to someone who has changed their mind on occasion. That is evidence that they are capable of looking at two sides and making their own choice.

Do you realize how much time it would be involved to take one candidate and compare their thoughts against the next one and so on?..There is no possible way you can weigh politicians and come up with the right one...do what most people I know do..vote for the one that tells the least amount of lies....

I research every thing. I don't watch TV at all. The newspaper is just a rag. I make my own decisions and make up my own mind. I don't think anyone has been able to sway me since I was two. Ask my mom.
