had d&c at 8 or 9weeks, no heartbeat on two sonograms, what are the chances that I could be preggers again? I was passing clots and had the heaviest bleeding.

I am so sorry about what happened. Having a miscarriage can be really hard on you.
A D&C is often done in the circumstance that you describe. It is not uncommon for it to take up to 6 -8 weeks for your body to get back to normal, for your hormones to function properly and for everything to work like it did before this happened to you.
The risk of infection is greater right after a D&C because the cervix needs time to close and heal. This is why most doctors will ask that you wait at least 6 weeks before having sex. That can be hard to do and I remember after a couple of my D& C's I did not wait that long.
As far as your other question, yes, if you had sex it is possible that you could be pregnant. Abstaining is the only sure fire way to NOT get pregnant! Seriously tho, if you think you might be pregnant I would call the doctor and have them do a blood test. Even if you are only a few days pregnant they will be able to tell you.
Call your doctor and take care of YOU.
Love and Blessings

Your cycles may have been thrown off by the D&C. I would wait it out a bit and then test.
