my mp3 is plugged in to the computer whilst i am putting songs on it...On the screen it says Docked...........

What does this mean????
Is it because im adding new songs???

It means exactly what it says on the tin!! Your MP3 player is docked (attached/connected to your pc) A bit like a Ship would be docked, or a shuttle would be docked at a space station.

this means that your mp3 is in the computer and u dont have to worry about this it wont affect the prosess of ur songs being put on the device
