i can sound out the letters like b-c-ch-th-f-p-even ph but i cant seem to get the a-o-i-u-e- its just soo hard. can you think of a website or a book from the library i can check out. that would help?

Seek the help of a reading specialist. Call a local learning center (Sylvan, Huntington, etc.) or a tutor. Also, if you live near a university, community college, high school, middle school, or elementary school, call and ask about their courses/teachers for reading. Tell them exactly what you need to learn. Good luck!

Hooked on Phonics is a great program for learning to sound words out. Start small, and work your way to harder words.

you can also get a tape recorder, and tape your voice on the recorder sounding out the letters, and then hear yourself, And then practice more and more and you will get better
