1. 1960 classic duel between Rathman and Ward.
2. 1977 Foyt first 4-time winner, and Tony Hulman's Last 500.
3. 1992 Unser and Goodyear closest finish in history.
4. 1982 Johncock over Mears. You could hear the crowd over the cars.
5. 2006 Two American drivers in a classic duel with Hornish over Andretti.

Funny, aside from your first 2, most of the experts feel the best races were in the 60s and 70s when the overall quality of the fields was higher.

Having 5 races from the period 1982-1992 shows your age.

I would have to agree mainly because those were the years before the IRL split off, leaving both series as a joke. They are the good old days of open wheel racing.
