God simply did not desire for the world to share a language. Such is a punishment for the tower of babel. It's been printed in multiple languages so it can reach the people of the world. Translations differ from each other because the original greek and hebrew texts follow different grammatical and linguistic structures than say modern English. Not ever word of the ancient text has a single best word in english that means the same thing. For instance in biblical hebrew, there were three words for love, describing physical love, friendship, and one other (i forgot what it means) We only have one word for this. People differ in their opinions of which version in english stays most true to the original. NIV for instance, is based more on translating phrase by phrase, where ESV and KJV are direct translations of the original. I prefer ESV because it's easy to read and accurate.
