She found out that he has been lying to her about using drugs for years. He is not hooked, he does coke maybe 2-3 times a week when goes out with the boys. My friend hates drugs and made it very clear well before they were married that she does not want drugs in her life in any sort of way. He's proven to her that he is selfish and disrespectful in my opinion. My friend is so upset!

What would you do?

First off are not you foolish to say he is not hooked and two or three times a week is okay. It is not ok. If he lied to her about in the first place do you really think he told her the truth about 2 or 3 times a week. COME ON! Wake up he is a druggie.

He is blowing money away on drugs. He is lieing. He need help fast. If she wants the marriage then get him some help.

If not don't walk away RUN!

Cocaine is a very powerful drug and it is foolish to say he is not hooked. While the decison to leave is entirely up to your friend, you should let her know a few things.
1. He will burn all of his and her money on drugs.
2. His drug abuse will rarely stop because he decides to stop. He needs professional help and unless he enters such a program , she cannot expect him to turn around.
3. Eventually his addiction will undermine his earning ability, his physical health and his sexual health so that in later years there will be a decline in all of these important areas. If she is looking forward to a marriage, children and a home each of these dreams can vaporize as the addiction takes its toll. Good luck .

She became hoping you may furnish her an out! do not permit her make you experience accountable although. Being that she needed to act that way, i could in all probability tell her that when she gets drained sufficient of it, she'll arise with some thing. Had she not acted that way, i could have advised her to start making plans and determining what she'd prefer precisely, deposits, hire, food, etc. consult with some criminal specialists. initiate putting away funds, small quantities are extra effective than not something. check out some places the place she could stay and discover out what that's going to fee. Babysit for friends to place funds aside. Do each little thing she will in basic terms before time and attempt to plot each element. Make and have copies of all significant papers waiting and in a secure place at a chum's homestead, etc.

Give him two options. Get help to kick it for good or get out of her house.
People that do coke tend to be very violent and he can turn that on her. Does she really want to end up on the tail end of his coked out rage? I wouldn't.

Besides, he has already proven he's a liar.

If he is doing it 2 to 3 times a week then he has a problem and it will only get worse. She should give him tough love and leave.

Tel her to demand counseling and if he doesn't get it then she should leave. She should leave him anyway cause he lied to her multiple times, and she already let him know before they got married that she didn't want drugs around her or in her life at all. She's going to be upset until she gets rid of him, unless he doesn't want to lose his family.

It's up to her and her husband to make that decision. Apparantly she hasnt made it all that clear. Or he has a short memory span. Perhaps she needs to remind him of her strong distaste for his using drugs. + Your opinion doesnt matter, and neither does mine. She AND he will do as they so choose.

She didn't know that he has been doing drugs for years? She surely was making herself miss it. I couldn't take the being deceived. I'd leave him. Good luck!
