Which men? Politicians, farmers, shoemakers? musicians? teachers? It depends much on where in mexico and the social economic statis of the man and the occasion of attire.

I think old movies would be a good place to see the fashions of that time. Some Bogart movies spring to mind.

i live here, in San Luis Potosi, I have seen that everything back to the 20's and 30's fashion was copied from the US, everything looks the same, clothes, hair etc.

Zoot suits, black socks, 'staches, slicked back hair, sombreros, serapes, boots. Check out some old movies.
