it could b a virus.. but i think u should take it into a computer store. they are usually cheap if u go to the small ones that pretty much just repair it... sometimes they just pay the fee for looking at it

Your comp is probably not a piece of crap, but a comp need some maintenance in order work properly.
I have made a list of downloads I use for just that.
Let me add that I've tried these products for almost 2 years, and
I update on a regular basis.
Also do a System restore, you'll find this under: All programs-Accessories-System tools-System restore and restore back to a date you think the machine was OK.
I'm sorry I cram in so much information, but if you just follow the instructions, I think you'll have a great computer.

My experience has been that notebooks/laptops suck. I had the same experience with this and it was a virus and the C drive had to be replaced.

It is loaded with spyware so go to ewido.net and run scan and if that ndoes not help go to start and run msconfig start up and get rid of the programs that you do not need at startup.
get more RAM
