Interesting idea, but changing the fundamentals of the sport would not go down too well in lots of circles. It's taking years just to introduce technology (which is a must) and it still isn't implemented yet, so any change is hotly debated. Changing the rules is something Rugby League does every year it seems, and doesn't always work, but I can improve the game. I wouldn't want to see such a rule simply, because if it isn't broke, don't try to fix it. Having said that, I wouldn't mind adding a minimum British players rule to the premiership to stop the Arsenal's and Chelsea's of this world bringing in so many foreigners. Fair do's if you bring in the likes of Henry; but do we really need more Pascal Cygan's in the premiership when we have Titus Bramble's!!!

It was stupid idea when Arsene Wnger suggested it and its a stupid idea now.

Why should Arsenal get 4 points for beating Watford 4-0, while Portsmouth will only get 3 points for beating Chelsea 1-0.

Some of the best games are low scoring, and how would you feel if your managed a win against one of the best teams in the league, only for your rival to beat the last place team 4-0, ending up with you getting relegated, or them winning the league, or them qualifying for Europe.

This idea is OK in theory, but would be terrible if ever actually implemented.

Leave well alone. The present system works. I honestly do not think teams would play any different. At the end of the day they are only interested in actually winning whether it be 1-0 or 10-0.

Good idea, but what about a point for each goal, 1 bonus point for a draw and 3 bonus points for a win. That way, if a team is getting hammered they would still have something to play for.

Not a bad idea but how about forget points for winning and just determine division position by goal difference. We will see lots more goals!

I would encourage anything that creates both teams to attack, an extra point for an away win would be good.

Not a bad idea. They do it in rugby, where you get an extra point with 4 tries.
