I have just bought a new pay as go you mobile phone. It is triband phone. I want to send it to my sister in India.
Anybody knows whether it is allowed to unlock it immediately after I bought and could be used in India?

If you are up to date on pc's then try this. Go to www.limewire.co.uk or www.emule.co.uk and download one of these p2p programs. After you have downloaded it and up and runnin then go to search and type in programs. This will bring up a list of programs that you can download. Look for one that says sim card unlocker. If you download this you can free the sim yourself by following the onscreen instructions. The beauty of it is that it works and it's free.

You dont have to download a program. You can get it unlocked remotely online. The best site i know for advice + unlocking, de-branding, flashing is http://www.unlockme.co.uk

you can get any phone unlocked,regardless how long you've had it,but it beats me why you bought a locked one in the first.the closest i've ever been to india is lake constance,so can't really help you there,but i should imagine it would!
