the most recent case was Abel Xavier of Middlesbrough & PORTUGAL who was in trouble for using a banned substance during the club's UEFA Cup match against Skoda Xanthi of GREECE last year. he was subsequently banned for 12 months & the ban will end next month.

I don't know but some NFL (American football) players have been in trouble for smoking pot. One of them, Ricky Williams, got suspended for a year so he is spending that season playing in Canada.

yes adrian mutu former chelsea player(striker) was caught with drugs in his system and was banned for some seasons.
