I wrote a poem called Traumatized. It's about how we fill our kids heads with fairy tales and mythical creatures only for them to find out we lied. It goes on to dramatize the loss of faith that kids experience about that time. How many go astray into drugs and antisocial behavior all because we wanted to give them a time of wonder and a period of believing all in the name of their innocence. So , when we have this monster to deal with, it is our creation. I suggest that starting out by telling truth might prevent this but we have little skill because we were traumatized when we were young.

I disagree with the person who put the first post, I think that using drugs and antisocial, behavior comes from lack of love and attention from their parents and sometimes the influences of " so called friends" that introduces them into drugs. Not because they stopped in believing in fantasy. I means who on earth is going to be traumatize, because they stopped believing in fairy tales and Santa Claus? I don't believe in Santa anymore and I'm going to use drugs? I'm sorry but that's stupid
