Depends on the battleground. In WSG or AB, the Horde racials can make a *lot* of difference - which is where they normally win. Contrast that with AV, where (at least in my battlegroup), Alliance win 9 times out of 10. There, the Alliance can replace their numbers fast enough (due to higher population) to zerg the Horde defenses even if people drop out of the match.

Another factor coming from the population imbalance is that anyone Horde-side who wants to PvP needs to be good - anyone who isn't gets chewed up by the system really fast and drops out, leaving pretty much only the good PvPers. Alliance-side, you can climb up the ladder pretty far even if you're a yahoo - so Alliance games get a wider variety of skill levels per game.

That aside, Alliance PuGs can't seem to organize to save their lives, so that never helps.

Totaly depends on the server, most of the time the Alliance are about 3-4 months ahead of the Horde in PvE progression.

Also some BG groups are "Pre-sets" as in a guild or bunch of friends had pre-formed the group and are most likely useing an outside source to communicate (aka team-speak/Ventrillo)

This can usually decide the outcome of the BG.

lets put it this way... alliance is for noobs... think about it, with the population averaging 10 to 1, alliance to horde, it would be easy as cake to find groups and level up. but if you want a challenge, then going to horde is it. it weeds the boys from the men -or- girls from the women. with our numbers on the horde side, it hard to get certain things done sometimes. so be push to do it. which makes us stronger and better players. then we show off our uber skills off in battlegrounds...
