i used to be be a punk rock-er i would were teit pans they were so teit they were on my skin and i had agreen mo-hock my mom would say she did not like it and win i have kids i would not let the do it ether and i would know what she saying but i had grown up i am not a punk now but i do have my lip pierced and i am a teacher my students say i am the best teacher i still don't know what she met now gothic is the new punk my son is gothic i did not say anything bad about it but my mom new that i did not do itso she did my son sid it is not a fad but a way of life 1952 is over it is 2006and my mom sid i was a bad parent what do i do

You're a teacher and you can't even spell or use proper grammar and sentencing ? Why do we have to continue to fund a bottomless hole like the Teachers Union ?

You're a teacher and you spell like that? If you were teaching my kids I would find a way to have you sent back to grade school. No wonder humans are getting dumber and dumber.
As far as the goth thing- leave it alone. If you allow it, he will respect you for allowing him his individuality.

What do you teach? It surely is not English! I know that is not the issue, but I wanted to point out that you need to set a better example for your students. As for the question you pose.... YOU are the child's parent and if YOU are ok with him being goth... tell your mother to butt out. She raised you, now she needs to let you raise your child. It will hurt her, but eventually she will come around and realize you are right.

Tell your mother that you don't want your son dressing in black. That is just dumb whoever does that! People would talk bad about your son and I know you wouldn't want that!
