Hey just chill!!!! WHy are u sooo worried...c i m not facing the same prob but i guess i can help u. To avoid being online i think................u must concentrate on ur hobby...if it is readin books then go to the library and get some very interesting book..wat i wanna say is keep ur self busy. Start it from 2day....just b online at a specific time. Like i am always online at night..just stay away from the comp...and abt that guy..see i guess u had a crush on him...and according to my experience crushes are just for a few days...if u don't have a crush then its a prob...its a natural tendancy..if u use him and then just leave him and find a new one then its a prob...but crushes are just f9.....so don't worry abt it. Go outside with ur family read books watch ur favorite progrms...theres so much to do....i ope it'll help u out.
GOOD LUCK

1)Keep the computer out .... Set up your computer in a public area of your house, not in ur bedroom.....coz if pc is very close 2 u n in ur reach so when ll u get bored u ll turn it on
2)my best advice would be to set yourself a time limit & be very strict with it then slowely work the time down by 1/2 hour or an hour at a time. Try to find something else that interests you & put time aside for it. Look at the things you like doing on the internet & see if you can do them in real life. If it's chatting look around for real friends . Hope that helps.
3)you need to study, go to a library where everyone else is sitting and reading or working. You don't get much choice if you're sitting in the corner of a library and doing work.
4)Spend some time with your family because i think they are more important than Internet don't you think so.
5)Draw up a daily timetable.apportion an appropriate amount of time to your Study work and social activities. Never surf the Internet until the important issues are settled first. That way, you get to continue with your Internet activities and stay guilt free

Monitor the time you spend on the computer each day. Try setting an alarm for one or two hours and take a break.
Figure out what you spend the most time on (e-mail, games, music, in your case it's msn/online chatting) and limit the time to a couple hours.
Find activities that take you away from the computer. Read a good book, go for a bike ride, play with the kids, dog, etc.
Quit reading this article, turn your computer off, and do something productive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^_^
Avoid sites like addicting games.com or my space.com / turn off your msn messenger from automatic to manual!!!! (or delete it)
Use the internet at a public library. They usually limit the time to a couple hours.Plus it's free....right?
Buy software to help monitor and even constrain your online time. Parental control software can do this but you will need to make the administrator password inaccessible. It is recommended to have someone else set the password for you, so settings can be changed in the future. ^_^
Buy some video or computer games that will ensure that you are not on the internet and you'll have fun with the computer too. Also, buy some computer software that is related to your hobbies but does not need a constant internet connection.
Having something you're addicted to is very troublesome...So just try to quit the temptation of chatting online!!! (i know it's hard to stop- trust me i use to be like you but some time ago i got completely bored so i just gave up...All it is, is typing words to people!!! Nothing interesting!)
Best of luck!!! Keep up the good job of over coming your addiction!!!

Join a club, pick up a book or go see a movie. You're wasting your time online. Instead of worrying about whether or not your friends are online or not, how about calling them up and inviting them over? If part of this is a guy you like, why don't you call him or make a date with him - how much better would that be than cyber-stalking him? I think you'll find that as you replace online chatting with real person-to-person contact, you'll be on the computer less and less (and a lot happier). Good luck!

If you have a brother or sister..get them into going on the internet thn there will be someone to push you off the computer. if not set yourself times. Do homework, Tidy room. Take a hobby after school then you can waste some time there. Hope it helps Xx

Ok, do some easy stuff, get involved in things you love other than chatting. May be go for a walk in the morg and eveg, first you need to relax. from chatting too much shift to comm. by email, slowly stop chatting. no one has a immed.solution. you can develop it over a period of time. In fact if you have a dream in life start working on it. Keep yourself busy, in such a way that you dont have time to chat.

well i do the same i come online to chat with a girl i like, i chat all the time also. i don't see whats wrong with it if your bored i usually go online to find something to do. and i recently got over a ex that i used to chat with alot by deleting her, and starting to chat with other people. if you think that you are doing the right thing then you are, he obviously isnt the man for you if you want to ignore him. so move on and let him go. find someone who will treat you right. like me haha just kidding
