I think Portugal would have gone to the final if Nuno Gomes had played in the place of the horrible Pauleta that missed something about 25 goals in that World Cup, about 5 in the game agaisnt France.

They could of won. The game was very even and it would of probably gone to penalties which depends on which team is more exhausted than the other.

That match was far too even. If it weren't for Zidane's penalty kick, the game would have to had ended on penalty kicks, wich we know, are unpredictable.

Impossilbe. If france didnt, score a goal and they went to pk france would still win. By the way mrs. matterazi they did get a penalty because they deserved it.

i thinks so!!!! Thierry Henry clearly dived and the penalty shouldnt have been rewarded! even though henry is 1 of my favourite football players i still think it was a dive!!! Portugal should have won!! and they would have if thierry didn't decide 2 dive!!! but welldone france!

azzurri still win the world cup if he makes it or not..but...if he didnt make the penalty ,he will be outraged ,yelling "***** yoouuu aLL ! ! !" and start headbutting everyone on the field and all the fans...and headbutting at you at your house after headbutting everyone in the world ..even everyone in the easter island in pacific ocean(heat butting down the stone head stautes too) ...thats why he deserved the fifa player of the year just for making that fateful penalty kick .. whew!

Portugal had a great opportunity fo go very far had it not been for that unfair penalty...........
