how would you make a plant cell model? what kind of materials would be good to use? it has to be like 3-D. if you do make the model out of food, do you have to do it like the day before it is due? how do you make it with jello? and i don't know what to use for vacuole

heat some jello in water
before it sets in the freezer, add a small ping-pong ball into it (as a nucleus), use noodles or shoelace-stings for endoplasmic reticulum (for rough ER, dip the shoelace in water and roll over breadcrumbs), use kidney beans for mitochindria and green peas for chloroplatsts. finally, u can put in large, transparent balls to act as vacuoles

making it with jello might be fun make a box with Styrofoam. put the internal structures into place with fine wire. use jelly beans or shapes of lettuce with perhaps a cherry for the nucleus. fill the box with clear jello. set it up hard then remove the wires. Paint the back and one side brown to show the cell wall. keep it in a cooler until it was time to show. Take photos of the process of making it if possible. Have a drawing in front of it with the labels of each part.
Sounds like fun.

I'd go to a craft store and get some styrofoam to make this model.

I wouldn't want to make it out of food, because the food will decompose eventually and in the meantime it might attract critters who would like to eat it!
