this totally freaks some people out but seriously BC pills have more than one use. They help with "that time of the month" soooo much. They help with cramps, heavy periods, and they also help clear up your face!! no joke!!
A pint of vanilla ice cream and a good soap is a close second lolz

A way to ease cramps is to lay down and put a heat pack or hot water bottle on the area that you feel the most cramping. If you do not have a heat pack or hot water bottle you can use a flannel/facewasher or handtowel, wet it, and stick it in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute (depending on how long it takes to get warm.) Heat usually helps soothe the pain of cramping. You can use general painkillers but there are specific painkillers designed to target period pain especially. These are at all chemists and they do not require a prescription. Keeping active also helps. Instead of sitting around maybe go for a walk or run - this sometimes helps ease the muscle tension. - Hope this helps (:

Take some Midol. Wear elastic waisted pants to take some pressure off your abdomen. Use a heating pad to relieve some of the discomfort. Drink water, not soft drinks. They are loaded with sodium that increase water retention and only increase your cramps. Good luck. Don't you love being a woman?!

Take ibuprofen and a hot bath. I used to get really bad cramps too (sometimes I still do), and the ibuprofen really helps. The warm water will also help you relax, because when you're in pain, you unconsciously clench your muscles, which makes it hurt worse.

Heating pad...midol...lots of sleep. Have your ovaries removed :) I'm almost thirty and still have them, honey. I cramp so badly, I occassionally call in sick. My doctor is now putting me on birth control to keep me from having periods because it's giving me ovarian cysts. You might want to try some Aleve but be sure to eat with it.

Go for a run and the pain killers. Or a hot bath and the pain killers. Or some hot tea and the pain killers. But most just the pain killers.

Take ibuprofen (2), make yourself a hot soy latte (hot soy milk with a chai spice tea bag and a little honey), and if possible, sit with a heating pad or hot water bottle across your tummy.
