Yes, As Chief of Police, I required all my officers to get sprayed before I would let them carry it. Encluding my self. Yes,It will make a grown man cry. It had a few second delay on one or two but then it went to work. I had running water and a fan for them to use after they got sprayed, so thet know what it does to a person.It does a little more that burn too

YES,
OC Spray is hot and will cause involuntary tearing of the eyes, irritation to the mucus membrane, difficulting in breathing and cause a burning sensation to the skin. That is why local Poilce Officers use it. OC Spray does not work on everyone though.
This is a non-lethal means of gaining compliance over an individual that will not cause permanent damage and is therefore safer for the Officer, the Subject and innocent bystanders.
