Many people choose to circumcise their child because they want them to look like their father. Some people argue that circumcised men are cleaner. This holds little truth because men should be cleaning their privates every day. If they do then there should be no reason for a circumcised man to be dirty. Please click on the link below and read the article. It has the pros and cons of circumcision, so you can make an educated decision. It's important to know information before making a decision.

That's more of a personal choice. You have to weigh the pros and cons.

Here are the pros:

1. It makes washing the penis easier.
2. There is a decreased chance of getting urinary tract infections
3. It prevents penile problems such as difficulty retracting the foreskin if it has become too narrow
4. A decreased risk of getting penile cancer
5. Decreased risk of STDs - although it is still important to use safe sex practices, circumcised men have a slightly lower chance of getting HPV (which causes genital warts)

The cons:

1. There are surgical risks such as excessive bleeding and risk of infection (although this uncommon, it can still happen). Plus the foreskin can be cut too short or too long, or it will fail to heal properly.
2. Like many surgeries it will cause pain, however a local anesthetic will help during the surgery and the child may be given something for pain after the procedure if needed, such as infant acetaminophen (of course with the doctor's okay).
3. It's permanent. Once the foreskin is gone, there is no way to get it back
4. It's expensive. Some insurance companies don't cover the cost of circumcision.

So it's something to think about. I wish you luck.

There are many arguments for and against but most physicians say yes. Best time in of course as an infant. Too painful for an adult.
Safest time is after age of 8th day when an infants bloodclotting has returned to normal. When a child is born, there bleeding and cloting time is normal, but starts to drop soon after birth. It reaches is lowest point about the 4th day, but usually returns to normal by the 8th day.

Some physicains will give an infant a shot of Vitamen K if it is done or the 3rd or 4th day. This is supposed to make things safer.

The incidence of cervical cancer in females is higher in females who have relations with uncircucised partners.

I am a circumsized male from near birth and I wish my parents had left that descision up to me. I mean it is not your body and God does not require us to do this any more tht was an old testament law and since Christ has already died for our sins we do not need to do this. I feel that if it was a hygeine issue we would have alot of non circumsized men at the doctor for infections. But we see this is not the case. Ask yourself, would you have liked your parents to have had you circumsized? The reason I would not want to have this done to my sons is you run the risk of deforming his penis for life including complete loss of feeling to the head or just deformed looking penis. This also makes sex less pleasurable for him as a mature adult. It does this by desensitizing the skin to touch due to no protective skin over it to prevent it from contact with clothing. How would you like it if you could not feel all the pleasure s of sex? How would you feel if his penis did get mutilated? Thes are very important things to consider before having this done to your infant child.

Let me start to say that this is just my opinion and to circumcise your child is only your choice;

Those ignorant people who say you should not circumcise your child do not know anything!!!!
If it wasn't beneficial then why was the idea circumcise ever created? I laughed when I read those people who wrote "Ohh don't do it it's going to hurt him!" A newborn!! It's only one second and the doctor gives the baby some thing to help him sleep- the doctor told me that my son was asleep during the whole process! The hospital gives you Vaseline to put on your baby's (you know what) every diaper change and it heals in a week! Circumcision is only beneficial nothing bad comes from it if there was risks with circumcision- then trust me-no one would ever do it......

definitely - a great sort of Ob/Gyn's and kin prepare docs and pediatricians will do this of their place of work in case you ask. I asked that no anesthesia be used - in case of allergic reaction. I had a woman Ob/Gyn do my son whilst he became 8 days old. that's whilst toddler boys have sufficient Vit ok and a of course occuring soreness alleviation chemical, which additionally enables in clotting - prothombin spikes in all male babies - Vit ok provides risk-free practices from hemorrhage - enables the blood clot too. there's a great sort of scientific information helping this! that's extremely stunning! I gave him some toddler Tylenol before the technique - however the Dr went over all of the accessible hazards of anesthesia and that i wasn't keen to try this to our in basic terms son. She pronounced they experience a prick and a burn and that's finished - she became precise! I favorite doing it in her place of work - he wasn't tied down. I held his head and palms and a nurse held his ft. She had 5 sons! It became the main loving way a circumcision could have been performed. To every physique who says to not circumcize - attempt being a guy in a conflict and unable to bathe for over a million month. My husband did this and he observed unfavorable problems with the Marines in his unit that have been left "intact". that's in basic terms a solid theory!

The trend today is away from this barbaric custom which for some reason became popular in t he last century. It really proves no benefit other than what we have been conditioned to believe are benefits that don't really exist. Think of it this way, would you have a portion of your daughter's genitalia removed shortly after birth and if not why would you do that to your son. The foreskin is there for a PURPOSE, it protects the tender glans (head of the penis) and acts as a stimulant during sexual intercourse.

It is cleaner and easier to maintain fpr the child to be circumcised, but many circumcised men feel their rights were violated when their parents circumcised them without their consent. This link provides an interesting example of a man who begrudged his parents for circumsizing him.

HEY! Trust me. It's better to get him circumsized now, then wait until he gets older, cause when he gets older.. It would really hurt, but while he's a baby it's best to go ahead and get it done while he's young. When he gets older he would have no memory of it at ALL...
