Political scenerio is the often misquoted reason for politicians telling lies. When they cannot do anything why don't they accept it, instead of giving all hopes and false promises/ do they not know that they have to appear before the same voters to tall truth?

there is a very old proverb in sanskrit. satyam briyat,priyam briyat,maa briyat satya apriyam, it meansspeak truth speak sweet,dont speak truth if its harsh. so they have to speak otherwise.we think and believe that they have a magic stick with them.by moving it all the problem will be solved. we never think about our responsibilty.and blame others for every thing. we even dont ask from where the money will come to fulfill all their words.if looters stole a bank and took away 5 lakhs,in their cover we loot further 5 lakhs and put the blame on the looters head.and about the voters we have to chooseone from THE BAD,WORSE AND WORST. the bad has money power, the worse has muscle power, the worst has both.so 50% remain absent , rest you and i know.

The only thing politicians care about is keeping their constituents, who vote for them, happy and if that means they have to lie to do that then that's fine with them because if the lies help them get elected that's all that matters.
Many times a politician's constituents know that he/she may have told a lie but because they hate the other party so much they don't care. Constituents like to protect their own so unless the politican is caught on tape with the smoking gun nothing will usually happen to them if they lie.

Politicians speaks truth but the % of lie is much much higher. They do not speak truth as they have many selfish wants which they have to fulfill first.
Speaking lies is never good, neither for oneself nor for the country.

Once joined politics who cares for people and country. Even if 1/3 of them would have done something for the people then the situation might have been totally different.

The system has kept politicians immune to any accountability because that has to be decided by them. The Indian public is brainwashed by religion and jingoism.

Politicians are basically motivational speakers...
Would you vote for someone who said, "Sorry, folks, it's all gone to hell in a handcart, I'm out of ideas, just fend for yourself as best you can?"
