Monroe's sex appeal, talent and untimely death combined to make her an enduring star and one of Hollywood's most recognizable icons. Early in her film career she starred as a dumb blonde in movies like How to Marry a Millionaire and her beauty made her on of americas most beautiful women. her sense of style an her personality made her one of the greatest celeberties in the world. Lindsay Lohan want to start copying her but i don't think there will ever be someone like her. she was one of a kind.

Well, I don't think it affected people then except for the fact that everyone thought she had affairs with the Kennedys. Because of that, the rumors were flying that she was pregnant with John Kennedy's child when she died. And of course, people believe she was murdered.
It's still a really unsolved case, just like John F. Kennedy's.

Not much.
She just became a popular culture icon and was on a lot of retro artwork, Andy Warhol-esque stuff.
Actually good thing she passed on while she was young and beautiful, so people remembered her the way she was.
