No, youre 100% wrong.
Reagans policies (even admitted by Gorbachev) contributed to the demise of the Soviet Republic. Perhaps you know more about this than Mikael Gorbachev.
The United States and her allies HAVE brought democracy to Iraq, did you miss the day they voted? Its questionable if the democracy will survive but IT IS there at this time.

Reagan was a good cold war warrior in dealing with Gorbachev but remember that the USSR also had financial problems and people were already revolting. There had coups and small wars among the people from different ethnicites in USSR which covered Serbia, Yugoslavia, and Russia. So Reagan contributed but he wasn't the sole reason why the USSR failed. For the Middle East, are you crazy! The afghanistan is slowly being taken over by the taliban-again! About 60% of Iraqis want us dead and out of Iraq, we haven't catch Bin laden and Sunnis and Muslims are killing each other.

Reagan did a lot to help the collapse of USSR without ever having to invade the USSR. He used smart diplomatic tactics like "star wars" to scare the crap out of the commies WITHOUT having to invade. Reagan also laid the foundation for a democracy in the USSR without invading.
Bush's "democracy" is a one party system dominated by the Iraqi Shia and that will never be a democracy. There is really only one true democracy in the Middle East and that is Israel and Bush, thank God, had absolutely nothing to do with that.

I think Reagan did encourage the Russians to spend more money on defense which caused USSR to go broke. Economically on the middle class Reagan was the worse. You can`t bring democracy to the middle east you can only be a good example for others and they will steal it. If people watch us they will say "hay I want that" and the people will change their government.

Yes REAGAN dd put pressure on the RUSSIANS to bring down the wall, along with promised sanctions.BUSH has installed 2 democracies in the middle east, not just1,Afghanistan,and Iraq That's why the terrorist are fighting so hard to try to undo the democracies because they know that there more citizens in other countries{such as the youth in Iran} that also see how good we have it,hey"re tired of having their basic civil rights violated, and want personal freedoms to choose religion, education, marriages, and their right to make decisions in their own lives, not to have them made by some religious zealot that thinks he knows what is better for them than they do

I think Gorby began to learn and get the democracy thing right and he is now deploring the trend toward the return of authoritarianism in Russia under "Puty-put" who Dumbya likes. Dumbya just doesn't GET democracy in his micro brain, (among many other things), not in the USA or anywhere else. He is a dictator, Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

Oh it was brilliant planning by that alzheimers ridden old wind bag.
In order to stop the USSR he had to fund the "freedom fighters" in Afghanistan, which is now what we call terrorists, and funded bin laden, just kept giving them weapons essentially outspending Russia.
And the brilliance came when because of this, he created the terrorist orginization that Bush is now fighting in the middle east.

Sure.... everything happens in a vacuum. It doesn't matter what you do or believe, so do and believe nothing. If we all link arms and sing kume-by-yah... the whole world will smile and live together in peace. And everyone will be happy and have there needs met.
If you believe any or all of the above, you are a full blown liberal... Congratulations!
