in my school we have wireless internet and i want to some how connect my laptop. One guy in my school allready did it and he said that u need to brake in to it.
so if any one knows how to get the internet in my school please tell me /

If your laptop doesn't have built in wireless you can buy a network card for £20.
In the taskbar in the bottom right you should see an icon of a flat screen monitor with a red cross. Click it and it will show you all the networks it has found.
To connect to a network in the list double click it, if it is secured it will ask for a password (perhaps if you are extra nice to this lad or buy him a mars bar he will give you it?)

If the school has the SSID Broadcast turned on, you will see the wireless connection listed in your network settings. You may try and connect from there, but if there is a password set, you need to know that information.
If this kid is a good tekkie - he could have gotten the information from the Wireless Router (via the computer hooked up to the Wireless Router). Most likely, there is no Encryption setup and you can just use the signal by enabling that source. I can't imagine teachers bringing in Laptops and being able to successfully punch in at least a 26 sequenced password.

Don't break into anything, Kolin. One lesson you should have learned at home is THOU SHALT NOT STEAL. If it's an open hot wireless system, then it's probably okay. If not, check with your school administrators and get permission FIRST.
Chances are, the school system's computers are protected with anti-porn software to protect you and other students. So to subvert that would not only be theft, but you would subject yourself to discipline from the school system and maybe charges.

all you need is a wireless network card , it costs about $ 20-$40
you just install it on your laptop, and where ever there is wireless connection, it will catch it.

see mostly in ur laptop u shuld hav a wireless port otherwise buy one....then find out if ur school wireless network is password protected or no..if no u wont hav any problems connecting it otherwise ull hav to tak to som teacher or somone...
