My husband and son are both drummers, and these are their favorite cymbals also. I can remember years ago when my husband was tempted to strangle someone who had stolen a "splash" cymbal off of his set at a club in the Boston area. In those days, there was a lot of that type of thing going on. They are both good drummers, and have both played out at professional gigs and backed up various groups over the years. I doubt if any instrument can make a bad player sound good, it may make the person want to improve to live up to the reputation of the instrument. I can remember my son working extra part time jobs when he was a teenager to save money for his "Zzzs" as he calls them. They can definitely outprice some entire drum sets. I do think that the sound is clear and more crisp than a lot of other brands; although I am a bit bias. Have a great and melodic day!

There are no instruments of any kind that will make a bad player sound good. Zyldjian cymbals are good but I would concentrate on practicing your technique (no matter how long you have been playing). A good musician can make music on anything. Good equipment can make a good musician sound better but equipment is really not that important.
