product info. on "flow master "home water softener system?

I have purchased a home with no knowledge of servicing this unit. Any information will be graciously wellcomed.

about all you need to do is keep salt in it & manually regenerate with 1 cups of iron out dissolved in 1/2 gallon of water, once a month!
