So am I supposed to be walking or putting my legs up!? If I walk my feet swell. If I don't walk I'm possibly not helping the baby drop. I'm 5 days past due. What do you think?

walking is really not going to help the baby come-that is an old wives tale. for your feet, sit and elevate them. 5 days past due, ask for an induction - it is not safe to go much more than one week past your due date. some doctors are still letting women go for 2 wks past, but many more are inducing now at 41 weeks routinely. last resort, go to the hospital and tell them the baby is not moving well, that should get you an induction today

Relax and keep your feet up! I know you've probably heard this a thousand times but rest while you can! Read a book, sew, whatever makes you happy. That baby isn't going to come out until it's good and ready - if you feel like you need to help it along then try having sex (keeps your feet up and gives you some enjoyment (LOL)). The due date is an estimation so don't worry - if it is a problem the doctor will more than likely induce labor. Good luck and Congratulations!

Walking can help labor progress--not likely that it will start it though---if you are already dialated walking could help--but only do as much as you are comfortable with. Sex can also help kickstart labor if baby is ready or nipple stimulation--it releases oxytocin which could start labor. Remember your EDD is only an estimate it can be off by as much as 2 weeks. If you don't feel like walking sit and elevate your feet to help with swelling, DO drink plenty of water and stay away from salt--especially in processed foods.

I think you will give birth soon and the swelling problems will be over. Good luck
Try laying on the couch and propping your feet up on pillows for an hour or so. This should help the swelling. Then walk. It may be that untill you deliver nothing will work. good luck!!

on her mattress: which you have positioned books or timber blocks below the backside legs of the mattress first ] enable her lie down this could raise her legs above her coronary heart and help the swelling pass down . you additionally can positioned super pillows below her legs . enable her relax no getting as much as wait on you . you wait on her ! and no salt this could make her swell greater this means no cheese no chips no soda all crammed with salt
