I know a lot about cars and I was in the used car business for awhile. I can tell you that overall, it's an OK car. Not super great, but not terrible junk either. DO NOT consider any Chrysler Sebring with the V6. It's a terrible motor that very rarely last 100k miles before it self destructs. Only consider the 4cyl. versions, which are OK motors. Definitely better than the V6. I've heard way too many nightmare stories of the 2.7L V6 self destructing well before 100k miles and costing a fortune to replace. Considering how much cheaper the Sebring is over an Accord or Camry, I think it's worth the consideration.

Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov to find Consumer Complaints, Defect Investigations, Recalls, and Technical Service Bulletins for a 02 Sebring

I am gonna say "good car" beings that it is a Chrysler product. I have had very good luck with Chrysler/Dodge cars. I now have 1998 and 2004 Dodge Stratuses, excellent cars. But I am partial to Chrysler/Dodge. Just my opinion :)

My sister had a 2005 Sebring, and other than the fact that it got stolen it was a good car. It was actually one of the best cars she ever had. It's roomy, classy, and reliable.

My brother has a 2003 and he loves it. Dont listen to the guy that went on and on about the V6. If properly maintained it will be fine. My brother's has the V6 and I would highly recommend it for the extra power although the 4 cylinder would be fine car also. I say go for it.

ya, good car. I worked at a dodge dealership for three years between 2001 and 2003 and never had any major problems with them all dodge products however are infamous for steering racks needing to be replaced, which is costly.

I may be partial to this answer but I will tell you that it is a very very good car. The new ones are even better now though and very much better styling.
