For example if I take a large number of photos under electric lighting I need to ajust the colour. Takes a lot of time to open each one would like to do the lot in one go

GIMP (freeware image editing program) supports batch operations on many files (like resizing, don't know about color correction/shifting though)

Photoshop Elements you'd probably have to do one by one- I'm not sure about Paint Shop Pro.

Photoshop elements lets you do a batch operation on many files at once. It's under File/Batch processing, although the only batch operations are convert image size/resolution, output file type and rename all input files.

Would also like to know how to do colour correction etc. To change file names, select all and rename first one. It will rename all of them in order

hold down ctrl button while selecting each item
