I filed bankruptcy 5 years ago. Since then I was able to finance a vehicle with no money down at 23% intrest through a dealer. Its a high price to pay for credit. I paid it off on time never late. Now when I apply for a simple $3,000.00 loan I get decline. What good was my credit for the vehicle I got financed for? I went back to the same bank that financed the vehicle and they tell me the application was denied due to my credit history. But yet they financed me a $12,000.00 vehicle? How is that possible? I do not understand! So I am asking where can I go for a loan? What institute will do business with me?

It is a fact of modern life that if you are seeking a loan through a traditional financial institution, you will pay dearly for a poor credit history.
What have you done to repair your credit? That is the question you should be continuing to think about.
Might I suggest that you talk with a professional banker or personal finance officer at least once to example your options. They might be able to point you in a direction you hadn't thought of.
One option is to open an account at a credit union. If you have a steady stream of income and are paying your bills on time, they are more likely to view your request favorably.

I'm not sure how to answer this. You could try to get a credit reference from an agency like Experian which you can apply for on-line.
I've had past experience with them and they will probably have your details to hand. It will be difficult to apply for lower rates of interest because the loan you got earlier probably wasn't from a recognised broker, why else did you pay 23% interest? Your bankruptcy will take a long time to resolve, so you have to find a bank or other creditor who will check on your earnings as to whether you have the means to repay a loan. They may start small until they can be confident that you can pay a loan off.

It is much easier to get a secured loan. Which is a loan where there is some kind of collateral like a car or a house. If you are trying to get a loan for just cash that is considered an unsecured loan and is much harder to get with bad credit because ther is nothing the bank can take if you don't make the payments.

I know exactly what your going through, I was in the same situation 8 years ago until I found this guy, who knows this lady who gives loans to those with bad credit. I have never seen this lady because she operates underground. When I refer people to this lady, she will give you the loan, but you will never see the guy or lady who writes the loans. It will not come in the mail or direct deposited. As I said earlier it will be strictly underground and you will recieve it via courier ner your home.
