what is better nitendo wii or playstation 3?

First of all i belive im the biggest Wii fan in exsistence but ull never find a good answer to your question here cause ur question is the only thing that keeps the gaming world running(its the competition between the best) i used 2 have the N64 2 generations ago then i bought the PS2 cause i thought its better and i think it was...but this year i saw the E3 and i did unbelievable researches and the results are:

the PS3 has1) improved graphics,2)has more memory (60gb) 3)blueray and 4) joystick tilt function. (blue ray is cdz with more memory) and there final price is 600$ !

the nintendo :1) has the wiimote where it changes all gaming 4ever without a doubt the remote is also gona store your id and image (kinda like the one u do 2 urself here in yahoo) and its gona have wireless internet (free) u can go to your friend house with your remote and immediately his wii will recognise that u are there u can play rpg games like WoW with other owners of the wii 2) gona have internet (wireless) and all the games you have will be constantly upgraded 3) its gona be backwards supportive u can play N64 games on it (upgraded with better graphics), best of sega(also upgraded with better graphics) and u can just put the gamecube games in it and they will work u can use all gamecube accessories on it 4) it has the game rated #1 in the world (ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS) (i didnt make that up its true) 5) its gona be for only 250$ and will have games that are only 50$ im not sure about ps3 games but i think they r more expensive.

incase u didnt figure out what im trying to say..its Wii ALL THE WAY.

The Wii is pretty cool, but if you ask me, i think it's just a fad. Eventually, people are going to get over the new wii mote. I already have, like you, I'm not really into that having to move around to play. I just like to sit down and play. The Wii is fun when you have friends over though and and girls love it. as for the other two consoles, i would rather go with the Playstation 3. It has the better of the exclusives (Metal Gear 4, Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy, Lair). On top of that, it has a built in blu ray player, the next generation in home movie viewing. The online is also very underrated, if you ask me, im satisfied with it. There is no Xbox game out which supports 40 players like resistance does on the PS3 and on top of that, it's FREE! Also, they are improving on it, Playstation Home looks very promising. The Xbox is an awesome console, however, what you pay for is what you get. $600 for the PS3 was well worth it if you ask me (blu ray players alone costs $800). If you were to add on to the Xbox so it would have the same features as the PS3, it would cost way more than $600.

I haven't played either one, but I'm going to have to guess that the Playstation 3 is better. If I remember correctly I was reading a comparison of the capabilities of each and the Playstation 3 had much more powerful components. My guess is that at first they will seem pretty even, but as time goes on we'll see the games for the Playstation 3 continue to improve while the Nintendo Wii levels off.

The Nintendo Wii has changed alot from the Gamecube. While the Playstation 3 only got a new design, more data, and a larger price tag.
It depends also on which you're more fond of. If you like Sony then get the PS3. If you like Nintendo then get the Nintendo Wii. Both of them are a step up from their previous consoles, but the Wii has changed more than the PS3 has.

I say that the wii is better because the more creative gameplay. This NEW console is what seperates itself from the rest. It has a creative. Another reason is the price. Cmon now look at the price just to get a ps3 is about 450 plus tax. Plus you have to buy games, controllers, and all the junk. Look at the wii the wii is about 270 with tax. it already includes 5 GAMES that tests out the new controllers. it has all that new stuff that gamecube didnt have. even tho the graphics arent really good. It only has about a 2x gamecube graphics but thats all it needs

Basically, the PS3 is trying extreamly hard to do what both the Wii and the xbox360 do. They've taken ideas from both, and tried to blend them. Its not really worked very well which is why i think the release of the PS3 has been moved back so often. The PS3 is also going to be very expensive. It would almost be cheaper to have an Xbox360 (which will be cheaper at the time of the PS3 release) and a wii, than have one PS3 which is going to be somewhere close to $400.

save your money, get the Nintendo Wii. If you look at the history of all game systems, the price drops after a year of it being on market.
Sony's price is bound to drop next year... when the good games come out. Sony doesn't have sh*t but crappy launch titles, just like the 360 had. The 360 has awesome games coming out now. Wii has awesome games from the start ( zelda, metroid ). So get nintendo. Or get a 360. Still cheaper and has alot more games to choose from.

Well, this is just my opinion, but I would say the Wii. It has the most original design in a console so far which leaves it open for a world full of oportunities. Shooting games will now have more functionality, sports games will make you feel more like your actually playing the game in real life. The possibilities are endless!

Then, of course, theres the PS3. $600 price bomb, plus it doesn't look like Sony really changed anything majorly.

If you are after brand names get the Sony PS3 since Sony is more popular then Nintendo

If you are after better specs go for the Sony PS3 since PS3s graphics are better

If you are after price go for the Nintendo Wii, as it is a hell of a lot cheaper ($350 difference between Wii and PS3)

If you are after fun games go for the Nintendo Wii, as all of Nintendos games are kickass.

Don't be silly....get both! How can you choose. The game types are so different. Typically if you like more cartoon games...get the Wii. If you like games like Tomb Raider, Silent Hill, Resident Evil get the PS3. I'm getting both...can't choose :)
