I looked into this several years ago, but just after deregulation. At that time, Southern Electric wanted to charge £210 (a pretty much one size fits all charge I think but that was 7 years ago) just to move the electricity meter to the outside of the same wall that it was already on the inside of. That didn't include delivery of the box, fitting of the box, or any digging or drilling and they need a deep trench and huge pit outside if that's what you're doing.
I decided that I'd put up with it where it was and put up with estimated bills most of the time.

I had meters geared up for loose, this is nice so i be attentive to the place i'm as much as yet a soreness while it pass's and the keep is close, electrical energy would not pass off between particular instances at night. i'm with British gasoline now, Scottish skill are damaging. interestingly BG do no longer fee for the metres yet i do no longer verify to be trustworthy!! They arefree to extra wholesome yet they might take a small fee each and each time you credit the metres x

The suppliers of each utility. They will do it and charge per meter moved but they won't connect them back up (gas) and you have to have a fitter on hand to re-connect.
